Woke up this morning with a wine glass in my hand Whose wine, what wine, where the hell did I dine? Must have been a dream I don’t believe where I’ve been Come on — you wanna do it again? Do you, you feel like I do? … My friend got busted just the other day They said don’t walk, don’t walk, don’t walk away He drove into a taxi bent the boot hit the back Had to play some music otherwise he’d crack Do you, you feel like I do? … — Do You Feel Like We Do? Frampton’s Camel (1973 album) Apparently, she don’t feel like he do. On Tuesday, June 21, rock singer-songwriter Peter Frampton filed for divorce from Christina Elfers, his wife of almost 15 years. The petition was filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court with the ubiquitous “irreconcilable differences” as the basis for the dissolution of the couple’s marriage.
Frampton is seeking joint legal custody with visitation, or parenting time. His petition asks the Court to grant Tina Elfers primary physical custody of their youngest daughter, Mia Rose, who is a 15-year-old actress. You may have seen Mia Rose portraying “Becca Keeler” on ABC’s Make It or Break It. The couple’s older daughter is Tiffany Wiest. Frampton (now 61) married Elfers were on January 12, 1996, but have been separated since January 2010. Consequently, his divorce filing should not come as a complete surprise to Mia’s fans and Frampton music lovers. Also in his petition, Frampton requested that the attorney fees generated in the case be split between the parties. This is not the first time through the divorce process for Frampton. He has been married, and divorced, twice before. His brief marriage to Mary Lovett in 1971 ended in divorce in 1973. Frampton’s second marriage to Barbara Gold in 1983 lasted a decade and the couple had two children together: Jade and Julian. Peter Frampton Comes Alive 35 Tour is scheduled for July 27 at Tucson’s Casino del Sol, Anselmo Valencia Amphitheatre.
